"I dont know where to start?"
That is completely okay. You do not need to have the right words, a clear plan, or have anything figured out before coming to therapy. Part of our role is helping you make sense of what is going on and working with you to figure out where to begin, at a pace that feels comfortable for you. - Lydia, psychologist
"I dont know what to expect?"
Starting therapy can feel unfamiliar, especially if it’s your first time reaching out for support. We are here to make the process as simple and comfortable as possible. We can guide you through what to expect, help with any questions, and support you in getting booked in at a pace that feels right for you.
If phone calls feel difficult, you’re welcome to email us instead and we’ll respond in a way that works best for you. - Tal, receptionist
No referral is required to book an appointment at Greygum Psychology. You are welcome to contact us directly and arrange a session at any time.
Many people choose to self-refer when they are ready to seek support. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, low mood, stress, trauma, life transitions, or relationship challenges, you can reach out without needing prior approval or paperwork.
Frequently Asked Questions
"I don’t think therapy is going to work for me." "I am too complicated.”

Feeling unsure is understandable, especially if things have felt complex for a long time or you’ve been carrying a lot on your own.
Therapy isn’t about being “simple” or having everything figured out. It’s about taking things step by step and working together to understand what’s going on and what support might actually help. Together we will work on figuring out what works and what doesnt for you - Lydia, psychologist
